STUDENT MATINEES
At The Rep, we are pleased to provide student matinee performances of selected Mainstage productions.
More than 3,000 young people attend student matinees at The Rep each season. Student matinee are typically designed for high school aged students (with the exception of A Christmas Carol which is open to all ages).
For any Mainstage show in which a student matinee performance is not offered, students may purchase tickets to any public performance with available seating for just $10. Group pricing is also available. Contact The Rep’s Box Office (314-968-4925) for more information.
2023-2024 STUDENT MATINEE PERFORMANCES
Venue: Berges Theatre at COCA (6880 Washington Avenue)
Content Transparencies: The play contains mild adult language, smoking and drug usage, depictions of physical violence, mental health struggles and themes of prejudice. Recommended for students in grades 9 and up.
Venue: Loretto-Hilton Center at Webster University (130 Edgar Road)
Content Transparencies: The play contains sequences that may frighten younger children, haze and smoke, strobe lighting, and sudden loud noises. Recommended for students in grades 3 and up.

Content Transparencies: The play contains strobe lighting and smoke/haze, mild adult language and behaviors (drinking and smoking), depictions of violence (guns/weapons) and gore, death, period-typical prejudices and language, and sequences that may be frightening for younger viewers. Recommended for students in grades 7 and up.

Tickets for student matinees are $10. When you are ready to reserve your seats, please fill out this form. An invoice will be emailed once the reservation form is submitted.
New This Season: Add to your experience by inviting a Rep Teaching Artist into your classroom before and/or after the performance for special show-related workshops. (Workshops are 40-minutes, $50 each.)

WHERE SHOULD I PARK?

The Rep cannot accommodate motor coach and bus parking on site. Motor coaches and buses should arrive early to drop off students, at which time drivers will be given directions for parking and pick-up procedures. Please note that bus and motor coach parking is not within walking distance of The Rep, so if your bus driver is planning to see the show, you will need to make other arrangements.
Groups that are driving themselves or carpooling will need to park in the Garden Park Plaza Parking Garage located on Garden Avenue down the street from the theatre. You will be issued a parking pass two weeks before the performance, which should be placed on your dashboard after parking.

HOW WILL I GET MY TICKETS?

We do not issue tickets for student matinee performances. Your group will be assigned specific seats in the theatre based on your reservation. When you arrive, an usher will escort you to your assigned seats.

DO YOU SELL FOOD OR DRINKS?

Food and drinks are not sold during student matinee performances. No food, drinks (including water), or gum will be allowed inside the theatre. Travel cups and water bottles will be stored in the lobby during the performance to limit distractions inside the theatre.

WHAT IF I NEED TO MAKE CHANGES TO MY RESERVATION?

To make any changes to your reservation, please email education@repstl.org. Changes in group size or cancellations must be made 30 days before the performance date.

WHEN AND HOW DO I PAY FOR MY SEATS?

Once you have received your invoice, credit card payments can be made by calling The Rep’s Box Office (314-968-4925). Checks or money orders should be made payable to THE REPERTORY THEATRE OF ST. LOUIS. Cash payments are not accepted.
If you are mailing payments to the box office, please include your order number, which can be found on your invoice.

HOW LONG IS THE PERFORMANCE?

Performance times vary for each show, but a show will typically run about 2 hours and 30 minutes, and include a brief intermission. Run times are sent out as soon as possible for educators to plan accordingly.

HOW SHOULD I PLAN FOR LUNCH?

Food may be consumed in the outdoor garden, weather permitting. Lunches will be stored in the theatre lobby during the performance. Shows will typically have a 15-minute intermission, which can be used for a quick snack break. Students will be directed back to their seats as quickly as possible following the intermission, so please plan food choices accordingly.
