The Rep's 2024 London Tour

DATES: May 25th - June 2nd, 2024

Join us for a fantastic tour of London's vibrant theatre and cultural scenes! Your tour guide will be The Rep's Managing Director, Danny Williams, whose insights and company make the trip a truly unforgettable experience.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Eight Performances. From classic theatre to the best new plays of the season, enjoy the best of London theatre, plus a performance of Samson & Delila at Royal Opera House. At this time, we have booked tickets for Life of Pi, House of Shades, Straight Line Crazy, Marys Seacole, The Wars of the Roses, and Father & Assassin.

  • The State We’re In. An in-depth look at the country you are visiting – the politics and the social issues of the day. Since we were last together, are we now living in a very different world? Post-pandemic, post-Brexit, we are joined by a political journalist or media commentator to make sense of it all and to review the important matters of the day.

  • Stratford-Upon-Avon. We visit the home of Shakespeare, in every sense, Stratford-upon-Avon. In the heart of England, this market town was where the great playwright was born and educated at St Edwards School (teaching continues to this day). It’s also where he returned in retirement, built the largest house in town. He is buried in All Saints Church Yard. We’ll take a short walking tour of the major sights.

  • Queens’s Platinum Jubilee. Upon this Platinum jubilee an exclusive house party at this gracious private home deep in the Berkshire countryside. After cocktails in the exquisite gilt-panelled Yellow Drawing Room, there will be a dinner in a splendid dining room.

  • Accommodations and Meals. Our tour will stay at the Cavendish Hotel, a four-star luxury hotel in Jermyn Street in the heart of St. James’s, the most elegant part of the West End. Full English Breakfast each day is included at the Cavendish. The tour also includes a welcome dinner on the day of arrival at Koha, dinner in Woolley Park, and a farewell dinner at House Brasserie on the final day.
