ARTISTIC JOB OPENINGS

Artistic Director

The Augustin Family Artistic Director (Artistic Director) of The Rep will be an exceptional artist and leader with significant experience in similar roles. They will plan and implement The Rep’s vision for the future, securing its artistic and financial health in partnership with the Managing Director and reporting to and working in concert with the Board of Directors. While building on existing relationships and creating new ones, the Artistic Director will develop and maintain programs to increase audience growth, diversity, and engagement. Acting as the face of the organization, they will engage with donors, subscribers, and the board to collectively rebuild the theatre’s presence. It is expected that the Artistic Director will be an active artist, leading with their own work and curatorial aesthetic. A gifted collaborator, with a wide network of artists in every area, they will engage with those artists and new ones to attract and grow a contemporary audience, while encouraging the continued support of the existing patrons.

LEARNING AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT (L.A.C.E.) JOB OPENINGS

Director of Learning and Community Engagement

Our Director of Learning and Community Engagement reports directly to the Artistic Director and will oversee all of the educational and community-based programming at the organization. Some primary functions of this role are to create and oversee educational programs in local schools (including but not limited to: any in-school residencies and the staffing of Teaching Artists), produce our TYA touring productions and any additional educational performances (including the Story2Stage festival), produce community centered events including RepresentSTL, Community Nights and The Glowy Snowy Day Drive-Through Experience, and creating and maintaining community partnerships. Summer Camp Counselor

The Repertory Theater of St. Louis is in search of seasonal employees to work as counselors for summer camp. A Rep Summer Camp Counselor is a college-aged student with an interest in theater, performing arts, multimedia, education, or some other related field. The counselors will help teachers and staff manage camp throughout the day and will be working hands-on with campers.

AUDIENCE SERVICES

Front of House Team Member

The Rep is seeking experienced customer support representatives for our Front Of House (FOH) Team Member position, which includes rotating job duties as Usher, Ticket Taker and Parking Ambassador. Team Members assist patrons with a welcoming and safe experience at The Rep’s home venue, the Loretto-Hilton Center on Webster University campus, as well as two satellite venues the Center Of Creative Arts (COCA) in University City and the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center (KPAC) in Kirkwood. The FOH Team Member position is a seasonal, part-time position occurring on evenings, weekends and occasional weekday, daytime matinees, and shift lengths last 2.5-5 hours depending upon position rotation and show length.

PRODUCTION

Wardrobe Supervisor

The Repertory Theatre St. Louis (LORT B) is accepting applicants for the position of Wardrobe Supervisor. The Wardrobe Supervisor is responsible for ensuring performances run smoothly for each assigned production, which includes completing costume changes and maintaining consistency with the original costume designs. This position will create wardrobe paperwork and train the wardrobe crews which may consist of Webster University Conservatory students. The Wardrobe Supervisor is responsible for every costume from the time they leave the Costume Shop at the beginning of tech/dress rehearsals until the production closes, which includes laundering, coordinating dry cleaning, and maintenance during the performance run, and the return of the costumes to the costume shop at the end of the scheduled production run. This position will work with the Costume Shop Manager to identify backstage needs for supplies, equipment, and materials.

Costume Shop Manager

Under the direction of the Director of Production, the Costume Shop Manager serves as a key member of The Repertory Theatre St. Louis (LORT B) Production Department. Seeking an experienced, motivated individual to oversee The Costume Department, providing leadership and supervision of the costume team made up of full-time staff and overhires. The Costume Shop Manager is responsible for supporting the artistic vision of the director and designers as it relates to planning, budgeting, and managing costume elements and personnel for productions and artistic programming. Based on the production needs, the Costume Shop Manager will create and execute a plan to realize the costume design collaboratively and creatively, ensuring all costumes, crafts, and wigs are completed in a timely and fiscally responsible fashion.

Members of The Rep's artistic staff try to see as many theater performances as possible. If you are cast in a production in the St. Louis area, please send us an invitation email to mail@repstl.org. Time permitting, one of our staff members will attend. We regret that it is impossible for us to see everything.


The Rep operates under a LORT (League of Resident Theatres) B/D contract with the Actors Equity Association and The Rep's Imaginary Theatre Company operates under a TYA (Theatre for Young Audiences) contract.
