#ThrowbackThursday: The Rep's 1993 staging of ONCE ON THIS ISLAND brought an incredible level of joy and spectacle to our Mainstage. Our production was directed and choreographed by original Broadway cast member Eric Riley. #ThrowbackThursday: Stephen McKinley Henderson is one of the true treasures of the stage and screen world, having appeared in numerous acclaimed theatrical productions (particularly those written by August Wilson) and becoming a quintessential "that guy!" actor in TV and movies. (If you saw Greta Gerwig's "Lady Bird," you'll never forget his small but hilarious role as a priest/drama teacher). #ThrowbackThursday: Let's go all the way back to The Rep's very first season! The artistic team here wasn't messing around in 1966: for the third play premiered on our stage, they went with Samuel Beckett's landmark WAITING FOR GODOT. Pictured here is original Rep acting company member Bernie Passeltiner as Vladimir.
