POSITION SUMMARY

The Annual Giving Manager reports to the Director of Development and serves as a member of the development team. This position plans and manages all aspects of the Annual Giving program with a focus on members of the Backers and subscribers, as well as being responsible for maintaining donor data integrity within the donor database. We offer a strong compensation package including but not limited to:

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is an essential member of the development team and will be responsible for managing all aspects of The Rep’s Annual Giving Program. The Annual Giving Manager plays an active role in the identification, cultivation, solicitation and recognition of individual donors and will be responsible to meet budget goals.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Design, implementation and growth of The Rep’s Backers giving program
  • Inform, engage, connect and solicit current, lapsed, and prospective donors
  • Engage Rep subscribers to convert to donors
  • Maintain and cultivate individual donor records in the donor database
  • Coordinate department wide stewardship efforts of current donors to retain and encourage repeat and increased giving year to year
  • Work to build out efforts for additional giving around upcoming 60th anniversary
  • Work with marketing department to create and execute donor solicitations
  • Lead event coordination for donor events
  • Makes cold-calls and able to secure regular face-to-face donor visits (in person or virtual)
  • Solicit individual prospects or recommend prospects to other members of the team for solicitation at other appropriate gift levels
  • Supports the Director of Development to build and deepen donor relationships through data mining and segmentation
  • Supports other departmental responsibilities connected to; prospect research, event coordination, and any other development-related duties as assigned by the Director of Development

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three to five years of fundraising experience in annual giving/campaigns and appeals, with an emphasis in individual/annual solicitation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive) and other relevant office software.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including drafting professional correspondence and meeting minutes.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills to manage a high volume of work efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and interact professionally with Board members, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in event and project management in a professional environment
  • Strong communication skills with ability and comfort speaking in small and large groups.
  • Ability to work some nights and weekends, as needed for events and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of online fundraising tools

ENVIRONMENT

This position requires the ability to work seated and standing for several hours at a time. Some filing is required. The work environment is an air-conditioned, smoke-free, office environment. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This position may require local, day travel. Working hours are generally during the day time, but will vary depending on company needs.
