The Rep wins four St. Louis Theater Circle Awards

Tuesday | Mar. 27, 2018

This year, The Rep had the honor of hosting the awards event that is half-lovingly, half-jokingly referred to as "theatre prom": The St. Louis Theater Circle Awards.

Voted on by local theatre critics, these honors pay tribute to the incredible diversity of talent at local theatre companies large, small, and everything in between. It's also a fantastic excuse for members of our tight-knit theatre community to dress up, hang out and socialize, hence the "prom" nickname.

This year, The Rep took home four honors for two of the shows it produced in 2017:

  • The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Timeour 2017-2018 season opener, won awards for Outstanding Production of a Drama and Outstanding Director of a Drama (Marcia Milgrom Dodge).

  • The Royalethe percussive boxing drama that closed our 2016-2017 Studio Theatre season, won for Outstanding Lighting Design in a Play (Brian Sidney Bembridge) and Oustanding Sound Design in a Play (Mikhail Fiksel).

Congrats to all of this year's honorees! You can view the full list of winners here.
