POSITION SUMMARY
The Lifelong Learning Manager is responsible for training and managing teaching artists engaged in residency, camp, and workshop programming at The Repertory Theatre. The role is also responsible for maintaining, developing, and innovating the curriculum that is the foundation for The Rep’s L.A.C.E. programs, as well as considering its replication and alternate uses. The role manages bookings and scheduling for key education programs including Story2Stage, Lifelong Learning Matinees, and the Imaginary Theatre Company Tour. This role is expected to perform in a manner consistent with company standards and expectations and to uphold The Rep’s mission, vision, and values.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the Story 2 Stage residency program
- Develops and assesses curriculum and lesson plans
- Coordinates scheduling residencies with schools and manages teacher and school administrator relationships
- Supports, mentors, and reviews the teaching artist staff
- Supervises classes to ensure all students are learning in a safe and productive environment
- Administers and updates the teaching artist manual with teaching staff
- Organizes supplies and resources for lectures and presentations
- Handles Story 2 Stage residency logistics and communicates them to the teaching staff
- Line produces the Story2Stage Festival
Manages teaching and curriculum for the summer camp program
- Acts as the lead teaching artist
- Oversees teaching artists and offers guidance, helps to develop lesson plans and class structures to meet goals
- Oversees and mentors the counselor lead
- Coordinates with the guardians of the youth participating in the theatre camps
- Interviews and hires teaching artists for camp in collaboration with the L.A.C.E. team
- Assists the youth with performance ensembles for camp
Booking and Content Manager for Key L.A.C.E. Programs
- Lead copywriter for the interdisciplinary Imaginary Theatre Company study guide and curriculum
- Booking Manager and liaison for schools for Lifelong Learning Matinees
- Booking Manager and liaison for schools for Imaginary Theatre Company Tour (serves as tour manager)
Oversees curriculum alignment with National and Missouri/Illinois Learning Standards for ALL LACE programs
- Uses the curriculum to develop new programs in coordination with the L.A.C.E. team
- Leads post-show workshop development
- Manages reservation intake for all matinees
Provides additional support to the L.A.C.E. team as needed. This work may include but is not limited to:
- Managing unforeseen crises with teaching staff and or youth
- Coordinating the residency of participating youth with The Rep’s school partners
- Organizing and facilitating post-show discussions

QUALIFICATIONS
- Possesses excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, Google Docs, Dropbox, Zoom, Teams and other various computer programs.
- A love for the arts and theatre is a plus!
- Has the ability to work collaboratively while handling multiple priorities and deadlines.
ENVIRONMENT: This position requires the ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, climb, kneel and lift to 50 pounds occasionally. This position is primarily performed seated in an environmentally controlled environment.
