The Rep Presents The Glowy Snowy Day Puppet Show at The Missouri History Museum December 31-January 2

Tuesday | Oct. 26, 2021

In 2020, The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (The Rep) began a new partnership with StoneLion Puppet Theatre for the revolutionary family event The Glowy Snowy Day, an adaptation of the beloved classic children’s book, The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats. This unique, FREE production brings families to the Missouri History Museum to experience an outdoor, socially distant, drive-through spectacle filled with giant illuminated puppets, glow in the dark scenes and a podcast that tells the story of a young boy from Harlem playing outside with his friends during the season’s first snow.

The Glowy Snowy Day returns this winter on Friday, December 31, 2021 through Sunday, January 2, 2022, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Missouri History Museum in Forest Park. There is no cost, but reservations may be required. For more information, visit repstl.org.

“We can’t wait to bring this children’s classic to life once again this holiday season,” said Adena Varner, Director of Learning and Community Engagement for The Rep. “We hope families from all across the St. Louis area will join us for this magical experience that is sure to delight all ages.”

“StoneLion is thrilled to be partnering with The Rep once again for the giant puppet drive-through event, The Glowy Snow Day. Making this an annual tradition across the state brings all our communities together, ” added Heather Loewenstein, Artistic Director of StoneLion Puppet Theatre. “Surprises are in store with many new illuminated puppets. I think the kids will be thrilled with our expansion from last year.”
