New this year, we’re adding an exciting stop in Bath to our London Theatre Tour itinerary! Alongside the world-class theatre experiences and cultural landmarks of London, we’ll travel to Bath to explore its vibrant arts scene, rich history, and stunning Georgian architecture. This addition offers a new opportunity to experience theatre and culture beyond the capital, making this year’s tour our most dynamic and enriching yet.
The Rep & London Arts Discovery: A Legacy of Exceptional Taste
Since the inception of this tour, The Rep has partnered with London Arts Discovery to create expertly curated theatre journeys across the pond. Drawing on deep local connections and our shared commitment to the dramatic arts, this long-standing collaboration ensures that each tour presents the very best of the British stage. Beyond the performances, London Arts Discovery connects our tour group with artists, journalists, and scholars to deepen our connections with the work we see onstage. This tour will present an itinerary you won’t find elsewhere, dedicated to exceptional productions, lively insights, and uniquely meaningful theatre experiences.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Nine Performances. From classic theatre to the best new plays of the season, enjoy the best of London theatre. Specific shows TBD. Recent favorites have included:
- Patriots by Peter Morgan, starring Tom Hollander
- Player Kings, adapted from Shakespeare and starring Sir Ian McKellen
- A Little Life, helmed by legendary director Ivo Van Hove
- A View from the Bridge, an American classic starring Dominic West
- The State We’re In. An in-depth look at the country you are visiting – the politics and the social issues of the day. Since we were last together, are we now living in a very different world? Post-pandemic, post-Brexit, we are joined by a political journalist or media commentator to make sense of it all and to review the important matters of the day.
- Accommodations and Meals. Our tour will stay at The Montague on the Gardens, a four-star luxury hotel located in the West End, close to Covent Garden and just steps away from the British Museum. With its historic Georgian architecture and handsomely landscaped private gardens, The Montague offers maximum comfort and superior service within easy access of London’s main attractions. Full English breakfast each day is included at The Montague. The tour also includes a welcome lunch on the day of arrival and a farewell dinner on the final day.
