In The Rep's WiseWrite Program, fifth grade students in two public Elementary Schools learn playwriting and playmaking skills while increasing communication skills and self-esteem by working with theatre professionals and drama students. Selected plays are presented at a festival held at The Rep.

The 13th Annual WiseWrite Festival of One-Act Plays will be presented at the Loretto-Hilton Center in April 2009. The event is free and open to the public.

A second WiseWrite program works with adolescents at Edgewood Children’s Center.

WiseWrite is a collaborative project with Springboard to Learning & Young Audiences of St. Louis.
