Professional actors will bring these bold works to life by performing public readings of each piece for a live audience in The Rep's Emerson Studio Theatre.

Audience members become a part of the creative process by listening to these scripts and offering direct feedback to the playwright in a talkback following each performance.

Experience the bright lights of the big top and the darkness beneath in this new folk opera. Directed by the co-writer and director of Georama.

On the cusp of adulthood, Julia and Julia meet and fall madly in love. But they must face disappointment, disagreements and distance before they can truly understand the enduring power of poetry, music and love. Corazon Eterno (“always in my heart”) examines love – pragmatic and impossible, temporal and eternal. Svich also adapted Love in the Time of Cholera for Ignite! in 2013.

This brilliantly hilarious take on Shakespeare’s Richard III reimagines the most famous disabled character of all time as a 16-year-old outsider in the deepest winter of his discontent: his junior year of high school. Picked on because of his cerebral palsy, Richard is determined to have his revenge and make his name by becoming senior class president.
