The Story

What if musical theatre titans Rodgers and Hammerstein, Jerry Herman, Kander and Ebb, Stephen Sondheim and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber had written shows in the styles that made them famous, but all based on the same simple plot? The story: Tortured by her menacing landlord, a helpless waif can’t pay her rent until a handsome hero arrives to save the day. A clever cast turns one familiar tale into five tune-filled comedies in this deft and daffy send-up of Broadway musicals that took New York by storm.
